Trust
Trust means to believe. If you trust him/her, it means you have no doubt in your mind about his/her honesty and integrity. Tiada hubungan yang kekal tanpa kepercayaan. Trust is the key to building a relationship. If you don’t trust a person, your relationship will not survive, because you have no trust in him/her. Have you ever felt hurt or betrayed by your boyfriend/girlfriend and find it hard to forgive him/her?
Firstly, remind yourself that "that was then and this is now."
Many people have a tough time to trust their partners again, especially if their partner had cheated on them.
Ways to trust your partner again after he/she cheats you:
Take a break from him/her after you find out he/she's cheated. You wouldn't want to ask for a break immediately and regrets it later on, right? Deep inside, you still love him/her. You need to take time to calm down and think about you and your relationship. Do you want a guy/girl who isn't trustworthy?
Understand the problems you'll face if you forgive him/her and stay together. Think: It's not just that he/she cheated, but he/she lied to you. He/She disregarded you. Even if you manage to work things out and he/she can prove that it's over with the Other Boy/Girl, you'll be paranoid at every phone call or messages he/she received. Trusting him/her the first time was hard enough, the second will take much longer. Are you prepared to work that hard for him/her? Maybe if you really love him/her, you will. (;
Don't revenge. Don't start cheating on him/her to get revenge. If he/she had already ruin your self-esteem, how is being with someone else helps to repair the trust in your relationship? It might make you feel worse.
